Funeral favors are small gifts given to friends and family of the deceased as small keepsakes or memorials.

The tradition of distributing wedding favors is a very old one; the tradition of distributing funeral favors is a very new one.

Some examples of funeral favors are buttons (see our Real Funeral article for the month of March 2008), small portions of cremated remains placed in mini-urns, memorial window decals or candles.
